Nomisma Core Chip

Nomisma is a project in development. Not all solutions presented in the following sections and subsections are implemented at this stage. The current and all subsequent sub-pages are subject to change.

Nomisma Core Chip is a unique, ERC721 NFT required to operate a Nomisma Core Node within Nomisma Network. This Chip serves as proof of eligibility for a node to submit participation claims and receive rewards. It is minted by sending the correct amount of $ETH, with its minting price governed by an incremental threshold system that gradually raises the cost as more Chips enter circulation.

Once minted, Nomisma Core Chip becomes a pivotal component of Nomisma’s reward distribution mechanism. Whenever a Nomisma Core Node operator seeks to file a claim—acknowledging its contributions to the network—the system verifies the Chip’s validity and confirms that the claiming node is either the Chip’s owner or an authorized operator. If these conditions are met, the claim proceeds to evaluation for reward eligibility.

In essence, the Nomisma Core Chip underpins several core functions of the Nomisma Network, governing Nomisma Core Node operation, regulating the submission of claims, and ensuring secure and transparent reward distribution for active participants.
