Fully On-chain Solution

Nomisma removes single points of failure by keeping both transaction logic and data fully on-chain within its subchain architecture. Every dApp runs on its own customizable subchain secured by the nBFT consensus on top of Nomisma L1, so uptime is maintained even if some node cluster goes offline.

A relational data model lets the network process high-volume datasets without relying on external servers, eliminating Web2 dependencies and bridge exploits in one move. The result is a resilient execution layer where dApps retain continuous access to data and the system delivers the transparency and reliability that centralized providers cannot match.


Data Efficiency and Interoperability

Unlike monolithic L1 blockchains, Nomisma leverages the main L1 chain with custom subchains to separate DA, execution, and consensus. Each subchain uses a relational database powered by Rell and NomismaOS, supporting complex queries and indexing efficiency, far surpassing Ethereum’s key-value storage limitations and Solana’s lack of native indexing. This enables processing high-frequency on-chain operations, such as real-time trading, Web3 gaming, or DePIN sensor data streams in real time.

Nomisma overcomes the poor synchronization of L2 rollups and Chromia isolated subchains, facilitating instant cross-subchain data transfers. With a throughput capacity of ~500–1000 TPS per subchain (scalable via clusters), Nomisma could enable parallel execution and match AI-specific data management, developing a real decentralized version of AWS-like infrastructure.


Predictable, Gasless Transactions

Regular transfers on Nomisma are free for all users as they conduct as updates in the relational database. Nomisma charges developers fixed subchain rental costs, which ensures cost stability.

Gasless transfers and dApp subscription models, replacing traditional per-transaction commissions, offer a fair alternative. By eliminating volatile fees and incentivizing predictable costs, these approaches mitigate MEV risks and support high-frequency AI-driven applications, fostering a more equitable Web3 ecosystem.


MEV Resistance for Fair Execution

To counter MEV attacks, which undermine fairness and disrupt AI-driven DeFi, Nomisma employs relational databases for zero-fees transaction management and rate-limiting that blocks spam activity. These components prevent MEV as validators can't earn from transaction reordering, frontrunning, and sandwiching. Unlike partial solutions like Flashbots’ MEV-Boost or Solana’s Proof-of-History, Nomisma’s design eliminates MEV at the protocol level, ensuring equitable execution, critical for both regular traders and AI agents requiring predictable and fair transaction execution.

Nomisma’s endless referral program incentivizes dApp development and user adoption, offering 1% of referral trading volumes as passive income, encouraging a vibrant ecosystem. Extending Chromia’s Architecture

Nomisma still inherits Chromia’s core consensus and security model. However, it goes further by coordinating multiple subchains natively (something Chromia’s subchains do not do by default) and provides a unified relational data layer.

In other words, Nomisma leverages Chromia’s strengths but extends them to handle complex AI-driven DeFi at scale with transparent fees and minimal overhead.
